Well, I think this review is mostly on the ball, but as I read it, the story is "one that will make you believe in God" and not necessarily about religion. Martel shows us through his harrowing tale of trial that there are two ways to tell it, one which is factually true and another which is more fantastic, but also truer in a deeper sense (something along the lines of "artists tell truth with lies"). <BR/><BR/>It's too bad, however, that our popular religions are not as artistic as this novel. Overall, this was a great read. The book has definitely grown on me and is a good source of debate and conversation.
